- Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport (FCO): The main international airport, located 30 km southwest of the city. The Leonardo Express train (non-stop service) connects Fiumicino to Roma Termini (Rome’s central station) in 30 minutes. Alternatively, shuttle buses and taxis are available. Rome’s central station, Roma Termini, is well-connected to other Italian and European cities through high-speed and regional trains.

Long-distance bus services like connect Rome with many European cities. Buses usually arrive at Tiburtina Bus Station or Anagnina Terminal.
Rome has a well-developed public transportation system:
- Metro: Three lines (A, B/B1, and C) connect key points in the city. Line B stops near Sapienza University at Policlinico Station.
- Buses and Trams: Operated by ATAC, these cover areas not accessible by the metro.
